Over the past decade, technology has improved at a rate never seen before, as new technologies that shake up the modern world are released on a daily basis. The advent of artificial intelligence is not something that is brand new, in most countries around the world, as AI has already made a massive impact on modern-day technology. The functions of AI, however, continue to expand as more and more technology is being built with these technologies in mind. Find out what 2022 has in store for artificial intelligence and similarly related technologies.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Artificial Intelligence, in the past few years, has begun to seep into every single facet of human life. Our smartphones, computers, and in some cases even our cars, have some form of artificial intelligence built into their systems, and it is simplifying many of the day-to-day tasks that we as humans have to complete. In its early stages, AI was mostly used in already existing technologies to do things like image and speech recognition (for example SIRI in iPhones), optimize navigation apps, and provide us with digitalized personal assistants (once again SIRI for example).
In 2022 AI technologies have made a massive jump from these rather simplistic tasks, and the technology is now being used by mega-corporations around the world, as well as by essential workers and institutions such as hospitals. Machine learning, which is based completely on AI technologies, is helping institutions such as hospitals do things like evaluate patient data, make decisions about resource distributions, and in general help doctors and surgeons while they are on the job. They are streamlining the workplace for incredibly important members of society, who have been routinely overworked over the past 50 years.
Robotic Process Automation
2022 has been predicted to be the year of the robots, where we will start seeing technology and machines which function through the use of AI, start working in menial jobs that do not require too much brainpower. Jobs like street sweepers, bus drivers, and cashiers might start being outsourced to robots in the next few years, experts in the tech industry have predicted. Robotic process automation refers to the pipeline from humans to robots, in terms of the types of jobs mentioned above.
Whether or not the AI technology is advanced enough at this stage to make the switch happen is still to be seen. But the future looks promising. This process could allow people to spend their time doing things like enjoying South Africa online gambling instead of working menial jobs that require no form of effort on their part.
How Strong is the AI Market?
Experts in the tech industry are expecting the AI market to explode over the next few years, as everyone within that sector believes in the untapped potential of the technology being produced therein. The AI market is expected to grow to $190 billion by 2025, which would make it one of the biggest and strongest markets in the tech world.
